House Extension

House Extension

If you are looking to make more space in your existing property as well increase the overall value, then can help from initial planning, architectural drawings, planning approval to design and build. do

We offer 6 types of house extensions:

Single Storey

This is a one level extension normally added to the rear or side of the property. This is an ideal option if you are looking to extend your kitchen, creating an office or playroom. With these types of extensions, you can add bi-fold doors to access your garden area as well as install roof lights to provide more natural sunlight. You will require planning permission but for single storey extensions the process is straightforward.

Double Storey

If you require additional space to create bedrooms as well as an extended single floor, then this is the best option. Many growing families are building double storey extensions to create additional bedrooms and larger kitchen areas. We can also build en-suites, install underfloor heating, and built-in custom wardrobes in the additional bedrooms. Planning permission and building regulations will have to be submitted and consideration taken for neighbouring properties.

L-Shaped Wrap Around Extension

If you require additional kitchen, dining area and additional living room space then this single storey L-shaped extension is the best option. We can incorporate roof lights and bi-fold doors to provide more natural light. You will require similar planning permission to single storey extensions.

Porch Extension

This is the simplest extensions available where we don’t create a new room or additional space but instead create a water resistance entrance to your property where you can store your muddy shoes and umbrellas as well as add an aesthetically modern exterior to your property. We use double glazed windows with waterproof panels and zinc roof to ensure your porch is completely water resistant. For these types of extensions, you do not require planning permission if the porch is separate from the house and comes with an internal door and the area is not heated.

Conservatory

Many UK households choose conservatories as a single storey extension to provide additional living or gathering space. Since the roof is made entirely of glass the conservatory is an ideal source of abundant natural light. This option is cheaper than a single storey extension and is ideal if you have a limited budget. These types of structures use timber, aluminium and UPVC material to construct the conservatory. We can also install automatic blinds and underfloor heating which is ideal for autumn and winter seasons. You will require similar planning permission to single storey extensions.

Over Structure Extension

This type of extension is done on an existing single storey structure such as a garage on your property. This type of extension is ideal if you wish to build an additional bedroom or bathroom on top of the existing single storey structure and you do not have sufficient space at the rear of your property. Planning permission will be required as well as a structural engineer report to ensure the garage has the foundation and structural integrity to support the over structure extension.

We do not compromise on the overall appearance of the property and your existing house will be seamlessly transitioned into a larger spacious property as desired, all within the contracted time frame. Our parent company is a member of the Federation of Master Builders and Considerate Constructors Scheme so you can be rest assured your property extensions will adhere to the strictest building regulations and meet all planning guidelines.
